USB Storage Issues *Solved*

    I've been struggling for a while with one of the various USB storage problems that seem to affect the Linpus Aspire One. Specifically, some USB devices are visible and mounted if inserted at boot, or if sleep is entered and exited, but are not automounted if inserted "hot". The devices are manually mountable.

    I'd tried a number of the suggested solutions, none of which worked. After some pretty detailed HAL debugging I found the following post, which solved the problem trivially.
