Usb trouble [Win XP]

Hi! I'm having some troubles with my friend AAO, I try to install her an antivirus [NOD32] from my USB pendrive and all work perfectly until I reboot the computer; when it goes on again it just stop detecting the pendrive. It is strange cause it appears to detect anything I plugin to the computer, but just didn't open them. I would like a little help here cause I don't know what to do to solve this problem Thanks
