My user manual (ASPIRE 5741 laptop) claims that this device can be used with either 110 v or 220 input. Is there any way i can validate that claim, and if it is true, how would once switch between 110 and 220 (excluding the use of an external 500 watt transformer).
Brookline, Vermont USA. A direct response to my e-mail would be helpful. [email protected]

It's not the device it self. Always it is up to Power Supply to work with 110V and 240V. You need to check PSU if it is capable of working with both standards...
