    Hello to all
Currently trying to connect a Circuit Gear from Syscomp (Toronto, Canada) to use my Aspire One as a portable oscilloscope, I found problem to set the USB in order to read the Circuit Gear module.
The supplied program runs Ok on the Aspire One but is cannot read the usb input.
The supplier is not in position to give more information using an Acer Aspire One; he mentionned to change something using the command dmesg/dev/ttyUSB0 but this command is not recognized by the Aspire One.
The big interest of this setup it that you can use the Aspire One a small oscilloscope (average performances) at a very low cost and easy to carry. The program is accessible on internet at syscomp site.
Does anyone have an idea how to proceed? What exact terminal command should I use?
Thank you in advance for any help.

    Hello,

I have a AOA150 connected to a 22" screen and use usb oscilloscope sometimes.
I don't use the Circuit Gear under Linux but under windows, it is working fine.
I also use this one http://www.hobbylab.us/default.aspx but it is windows only (this one hang up more often)

    Hello
Yes it works nicely under Windows on a regular PC but I try to use it also under Linpus Linux on the Aspire One.

    Hello to all

Finally, with the help of a friend of my daughter, I loaded Ubuntu 9.10 on the Aspire One and succeeded to operate CGR-101 100% (graphic interface and USB input).
The usb connection works only in one of the usb inputs (#3) and is interpreted as usb0 on the hardware connection menu. Also, the physical connection must be done after the graphic interface is started (otherwise, a system error message apears).
    Overall, it is fine.
However I had to set the whole configuration of my Aspire One.
    Thank you for your help.
