    Hi,

I have been trying to connect my HP 614c to my Aspire One, so I can use it as a modem - something I've managed with a Windows PC.

However, I've not even managed to get the Aspire One to recognise when the phone is connected via USB. Do I need a driver, or something else?

I thought I'd solved this problem by installing WMWifiRouter, which works with my Windows PCs. However, The Aspire One cannot find the router which the program sets up.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

try a search on the HP website.... they have a special Linux section and i managed to get my HP printer up and working by downloading their driver software... not sure bout the phone, but have a look around cos from what i can remember it was quite a comprehensive authorised list of stuff HP support in Linux
