I have... but no idea what problems would have been otherwise. Only thing I have noticed that bugs me is occasional "stutter" it does. Other than that, songs play fine, games, wireless, internet, etc.

I am about to install a full XP sp3 installation. I'll post any feedback that I can using these drivers later on.

    Stay tuned. :)

Just about finished installing the Acer drivers from the european ftp site posted several times in this forum.

Everything works like a charm (so far) although I had a bit of a problem with the Webcam drivers.

Here is the sequence that I used:

    Chipset
    VGA
    LAN and WLAN
    Audio
    Cardreader
    Webcam (use the Liteon)
    Touchpad

I am currently running XP sp3 (full) and have had no problems whatsoever. Performance is great and the thing hasn't crashed yet after 48 hours of installing apps and trying out all sorts of stuff.

You might want to read "Steps to a happy XP install" at the Software - Windows area. :)

    Good luck!

Not even the occasional stutter? And your fan is not spinning up soon and never comes back down? Lucky guy!

the difference may be in the SSD used.

i've got a samsung SSD, and the performance is horrible when runnning under XP. a few other threads attribute this to the drivers.

perhaps people with the intel SSD aren't subject to such performance issues.

Actualy the Intel SSD is the slowest, samsung is the better.

lol yeah, i'm aware of that. not really sure what i was thinking when i wrote that post...although i'd only had the little guy running xp for a few hours at that stage. i expect it would have been formatted for NTFS at then as well...where performance truly is terrible!

The occasional stutter is there. Other than that, no complaints.
