Using an Acer AOA with WinXP. Would like to use the extra SD HC slot for transfer storage from my desktop WinXP PC. Is this as easy and reliable as using a USB Flash device for the same purpose? How do I write PC info to the SD card? Use Photo Card Reader? Any formatting problems?

I usually keep two SDHC cards in my AA1 as listed in my signature. I use them mainly for storage and also for installing throw away programs. It works perfectly fine for me. And it is a secure way of keeping files. Any SDHC card you get should already be formatted for PC so it should be good to go out of the package.

As for writing the files your SD card will show up as a removable storage device. And you can simply drag and drop or save files directly to the cards just as you would your hard drive. And you can even install programs on them but they have to be in there in order for the program to run ;)
