I have the linpus aao and i jus need a basic idea of how to use the terminal - a quick guide. Just basic commands and that kind of thing. Most importantly, how to use the terminal to move files as a root user.

Here's a pretty good introductory guide for Linux:

    http://rute.2038bug.com/rute.html.gz

    The move command is: mv

    To do what you want:

    sudo mv <original file> <destination>

    Cheers.

Thanks rbil. Once again however it was a case of 'google is your friend'! and found this website http://www.ss64.com/bash/. I'll have a read of it anyway.
