I'm considering buying an AOne A150X (160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, etc.). Acer forces XP on the buyer, with no choice on the OS; for those living in English speaking countries, that's not a problem. But I'm a westerner living in Taiwan, and a Chinese language XP (the only version available) is out of the question.

I have an English language copy of Vista Starter which I purchased in the Philippines and it works fine. Not great, but fine.
However, those who sell the AOne claim that Vista requires too much of the AOne's hardware and will throttle it.

Does anyone else use Vista (Starter or other version) on an A150? The A150X has the highest specs of an AOne, so mention of experience with any model should be relevant and would be appreciated.
