My brother in law owns an aspire one with linux OS in it and I was able to change it to XP using a USB stick of course. But it really slows down mainly because the HDD capacity of aspire one is low.

I called Acer tech support, and the technician told me that I should use XP SP3 to make it run smoothly. While another tech support from acer also told me to install TinyXP instead. Does installing SP3 really speed up? Where can I get a reliable tinyxp installation link?

If he has an AAO with the SSD drive and it installing xp on it then he should install flashpoint to speed it up. Do a quick search on this forum and you'll find it.

i wouldn't ask about TinyXP here, as its "frowned upon", but if you want a reliable link, pm me and tell me what you want...you may have to download from a torrent site though.....
