hi I'm new and also new to laptops. Never really needed anything but my desktop and now I wanna upgrade a bit.
I'm looking for something that I can browse the web and do some iTunes. That's about all I do. I don't know what memory,GB, or type of processor I should be looking at.
    Thank you

Welcome to the forum! Do you have a budget in mind? Also, which country are you in?

Most budget laptops would be just fine for browsing the web and playing iTunes, but if you're storing all your music on the laptop then you'll need enough disk space. Do you know how many GB of music you have?

You won't need a very powerful laptop for browsing the web or using iTunes. I'd recommend that you avoid anything with an Intel celeron, as I've just had bad experiences with them, also you'll want something with at least 4gb ram

Yes, 4GB of RAM is the minimum you should be looking for. Also avoid Celeron CPUs at all costs. Without a limited budget, you can buy a high-end laptop that will last you a decade. But if you're on a budget, check HP's entry level laptops. Or Toshiba's C series laptops. The C stands for cost-efficient and they are mostly cost-efficient. The fact that they use AMD APUs helps in that regard. AMD APUs are the best bang for your buck. Especially the A10 series.
