I am trying to output to a vga monitor. I do not want to span two screens I want to output only to an external VGA monitor.

I'm running iAtkos v5 10.5.5 with the voodoo kernel and the 10.5.6 upgrade. When I FN-F5 it kernel panics.

Any work around or am I just doing something wrong?

I believe you have to choose the monitors to output to in System Preferences.

The problem is when I choose the external monitor it just Spans from my netbook to the monitor. I want the image ONLY on the external monitor.

I don't have a external screen so can't check right now, but normally there is an option to mirror the screen. If this works you can disable the built-in screen with fn-f6 or just close the lid. Good luck!
