video 720p players

    Has anybody found a player that can play ina smoth way 720p contents?
    I tried VLC 8, MPlayer, SMPlayer, dragon with linpus and ubuntu and nothing was watchable.
    The best i achieved was with SMPlayer with Linpus...
    It seems that there is no problem with windows but i d rather like to use linux
