How do I reinstall the video driver?
I accidentally removed it and the xdm.log says "sis" driver not found.
I removed too much and I get a blank screen. :-(

Ah, it is an intel video driver.
Don't know why it said sis but video is screwed up.
I tried the vesa driver but it showed all garbled.
I made it use a fake driver so X doesn't even start (Intel gives a blank screen) and I get a console.

The driver is intel and not sis. It is part of the xorg-x11-drv-i810 package.

    What did you remove?

It says the video driver is there. :-(

I removed everything that said 'scim', I thought it was all the Chinese support.

I installed the package 'scim' and it booted up like it did before. :)

When I was in the console, Func x didn't open a new console. :-(

What do you mean by Func x?
