vnc localhost:1.log Fatal Error

    I've got a big problem with vncserver
    The error is:-

    Fatal server error:
    could not open default font 'fixed'
    xsetroot: unable to open display 'localhost:1'
    vncconfig:unable to open display "localhost:1"
    xterm Xt error: Can't open display: localhost:1

    Does anyone know what any of this means as it's beyond me. Linux (linpus) noob

    Trying to get on to the aspireone using a windows box. Can ping but vnc just won't have it
