Vodafone mobile connect?

    I am using Vodafone k3715 modem and AA1 Mnadriva 2009.1. What's going on is that the network manager is too slow to connect and disconnect. each time, it starts up, it take a very long time to 'config device' and searching 'network', far slower than on my Mac. When I want to disconnect, I opened the network manager, it also took a very long time to 'config device' and searching network before I can click the disconnect button. I would like to know if installing the Vodafone Mobile connect will be better?
