    Hi guys

    Acer One with SSD.

This is a real beginners Q. Hope it's the right place as I can see 'Beginners' & 'Ubuntu' but not in the same section

I so got brassed off with not getting a Vodafone (Portugal) dongle to work with Linpus that I installed the 9.04 dektop last night. - (Inever did find Mobile Partner despite the update)

Running it Live I had 3G in seconds! (why no lengthy XP style set-up??!!)- so did the full install using ext2.

No problems except it seems to be running slow?, but I can only check this by swopping to my XP laptop & hoping the local variable conn. speed hadn't suddenly improved anyway.

But the biggest problem is no Vodafone display panel telling me conn speed, Mbs used, & all manner of useful stuff & especially the ability to swop to 2G when the hoards a get online at once!

How the hell can I access this panel please? - Or is that not possible?

Please easy on me, 'terminal' is about my limit atm :)

    TIA

    Stuart
