want to unstall real player?

    i just installed real player on my aspire one linux, thought it will be great, but not, it can't play any file except audio files, and it seems have conflict with the pre-installed mplayer, can anyone help me?

    Did you search for it with the add/remove software tool? It should be listed there, just simply uncheck it and click apply...let me know if that works.

    well, i install it with a .bin file not .rpm. I have a question, can the mplayer play m4 and avi files, seems they can't because i havn't test before i install real player, i don't know, every time i play, an error message will appear. and .avi can only play the sound. is reinstall the system the easiest way to solve?

    remove the mplayer realmedia plugin to prevent conflict with real player
    Code:
    sudo rm /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mplayerplug-in-rm*
