    Hi
Does either sickboy's or Kuki Kernel work on the Acer Aspire One D150 10.1' Netbook ??

Is the hardware much different between the 8.9' and 10.1' models ??

    Thanks :)

I can verify that the current sickboy kernel does not work with the new D150 Atom N280 chipset GN40 model.

About Kuki. I tried installing Kuki 1.6 pre release and it works, but it's relatively slow (slower than ubuntu) on the above mentioned model. I haven't tried Kuki 1.7 +. Maybe that's faster.

There's also Sarvatt's kernel which should work. I haven't tried it myself yet though since Ubuntu Jaunty works great out of the box for my little one. Maybe someone else can verify whether Sarvatt's kernel will work on the new D150.

Sarvatt's kernel crashed when I tried it !!

How long does it take for your D150 to boot ?? Are you using Netbook Remix ?

    Thanks

Yes, I'm using UNR 9.04 at the moment. Boot time's around 50 seconds to desktop and wifi connection.

Thanks for the info on Sarvatt's kernel. Is your model identical to mine (GN40 chipset, Intel Atom N280)?

Mine is un modded straight from the box..
    I'd have to check if it's GN40.

    I'll check and post back.

    Thanks :)
