WARNING: Warranty invalid after memory upgrade

    I remember Asus making this claim when I first bought an EEE 701 but some years before, in the UK, this had been challenged in court (sorry I forget the details) and the judgement was that you could add memory etc without voiding your warranty providing the machine was designed for you to do so. Shortly after this I remember Asus backing down and stating that it did not void the warranty to plug in a stick of RAM.

    Apolgies for not being able to remember all of the details and I know this is UK specific but thought it was worth mentioning.
