    hi

i got acer aspire one a150 blue, linux, 160gb hdd, 512mb from play.com 11/2008. its started turning itself off straight away as soon as i turned on. i held down F2 whilst pressing it on and only just got into BIOS to read that its on v3309 before it turned itself off yet again so its not get the discharged battery problem. i called play.com up and they said that the warranty only lasts 28days? WTF?!

i thought that warranty for laptops were 1-3 years ?

EDIT: i eventually found a website http://secure2.tx.acer.com/FixMyAcer3/FixMyAcer.aspx where i entered my serial and sid and its saying that my warranty has expired as it was only 1 year? is it really only 1 year?

can i buy a warranty pack and then RMA my laptop ? or this would have to have been purchased whilst the laptop was within warranty?
