My acer had a screen problem when it arrived, so I sent it off to acer who sorted it out(faulty ribbon cable) and it was back in a week. So now I'm running os x on it which was one od the reasons I got it. As you may know the default wifi card wont work in os x so im looking at switching it for a Dell 1390 which works well, however when my aspire came back from repair it gained a warranty void if removed sticker on the bottom as it didnt have one from new is it ok to remove so I can do the switch or not? I really could do with the warranty :p

Same problem with me to be honest. I want to upgrade the RAM but there's a sticker on it.

I would think it would be based on what was wrong with the unit that required repair. A Dell product installed in an Acer product, when it was the Dell item that caused the problem would most likely void the warranty.

Acer considers the RAM on the 8.9" models as officially not being customer upgradeable. However! Some of the Acer service people say that if you do not break anything when you open the case then upgrading the RAM will not void the warranty. I would call the service center in your area and not mention the stickers and ask them if upgrading the RAM would void the warranty.

you know what I would do?
REMOVE THAT STICKER COMPLETELY. make it untrackable that there was a trace of sticker in the first place ;)
I did that to my machine, and sent it back for a repair job. No harm done ;)
