I recently installed a tiny version of Windows7 on my AAO (8gb version). I had tried Linpus, Linux4One and a couple other OS before and the wireless reception on each Linux OS was very good.
Now with Windows7 I find the reception is amazingly weak. I have experienced this on other computers with Windows XP and tested the same wireless network with Windows 2000 to find the reception was good again.
So my conclusion is, this has to be Microsoft's fault (from Windows 2k on)

    My question:
Is there a way to tweak settings in the control panel (or wherever) to get a decent wireless signal?
(I'll pass on the making of antennas with kitchenware and yes, for now I'd like to try Windows7 instead of Linux)

Thanks and I apologise if this is not the right section for the post.
