I purchased an Acer Aspire 5520 which has a built in web cam. Is anyone willing to explain how to use it. Go ahead and laugh but I am not very tech savvy. Do I need to subscribe to a service? Do I need to purchase software? How exactly do I use it? The manual tells me nothing.

I'm sure somebody more experienced that me will chime on soon, but I'll give you my opinion: sign up for a free service like Yahoo Messenger or AOL IM, and the Acer messenger software will recognize them and utilize your Web Cam appropriately. Good luck!.....Jake

This forum is dedicated to Acer Aspire ONE ;)

AFAIK 5520 is Windows version only. I believe if camera works fine already every IM software with Video support will detect this camera automatically and will use it - there is always some configuration option in Setting/Properties etc...
