Webcam does not work. At all.

    Never had to install any XP drivers for the webcam on any of the AA1s that have passed through my hands. Microsoft's own driver just works out of the box. I suspect that all of the webcams that I have have been the Lite-On devices.

    Does the webcam appear in Device Manager and if so can you inspect the properties and post the USB vendor and device IDs here?

    USB Video Device #5 Device ID is USB\VID_064E&PID_D101&MI_00\6&F281847&4&0000
    and
    (Under USB Controllers)
    Acer Crystal Eye webcam device id is USB\VID_064E&PID_D101\CN3016-M608-OV01-VA-R02.00.00

    where do i find the USB vendor?

    ...(you were talking to me rite?)

    Sorry, VID is Vendor ID.

    My device shows up in USB controllers as a USB Composite Device:

    USB\VID_0C45&PID_62C0\5&1ECD3563&0&5

    My webcam matches the device ID string in the LiteOn driver package and your webcam matches the device in the Suyin driver package.
