Webcam driver, help!

    hi there,

    I got an acer a150 (i think it's called that! ZG5 or whatever) and got a friend to put windows XP on it, the webcam software went so i tried downloading a driver for it but the driver won't install, it says to plug in the webcam and run installer again but as the webcam is built in i can't plug it in, therefore can't install the driver.

    Any suggestions?

    I'm not sure if a generic webcam driver or program such as YAWCAM (an EXCELLENT) program for most external webcams) will work with the Acer AAO. It has a built in "Crystal Eye" webcam that requires specific drivers. Have you tried going to Acer Support/Downloads and getting the drivers for your netbook?
