So I have an acer aspire one with an 8 gig SSD and an 8 gig expantion. it came pre installed with windows XP.
when i use to go to My computer and opened up the webcam, it would work perfectly. Now when i open it, nothing happens as in the webcam won't start up and i can't see myself on he screen, its just white and its just a folder were webcam pictures go.

i tried reinstalling the drivers, i got the Liteon webcam drives on but when i try to install the Suyin ones, it stays at the screen where it says please plug in your acer aspire crystal eye webcam device into usb port.

what do i do to get my webcam back!? ;(

Check Device Manager if Camera is present there. If so remove it and reboot PC. This should reinstated camera device and previously installed drivers or ask you to provide them again. Give it a go...
