    Hey guys,
My Intel 8GB SSD died this week so I'm sending my One back for a replacement SSD.
What model is most likely that I get?
As far as I know, the Intel 8GB SSDs are no longer being made, correct?
And from what I'm able to find it seems the Samsung 8GB model is not being made either?

If I do get the Intel one again I'm thinking to upgrade to a 16GB or 32GB SSD.
I only know of RunCore and Super Talent, are there other options?

Oh also, what would be a reasonable price tag on an unused 8gb intel SSD?

    Is this one an alternative?
16GB SaberTooth-Z 1.8-inch PATA ZIF SSD for HP Mini Upgrade
It says 1.8" but it seems to have similar measurements, and wasn't it the RunCore or Super Talent ssds that were also for the HP Mini?

If you want high performance in a PATA ZIF SSD:

    http://www.runcore.com/content/products ... 16GB-128GB

Sure the sequential performance is wasted by being bottlenecked by PATA but the small file performance is worth it. I use an Indilinx-based SSD in my EeePC901 (same cpu, chipset and ram as the aao) and it positively flies in Win7. Many people focus on sequential transfer rates when it's small file performance that most affects your overall system responsiveness.

Edit: Oops, sorry. I didn't realize you were talking about 1.3" drives. It's been a long day. :/

Runcore does make a 1.3" SSD but it's not Indilinx:

will a 1.8" SSD fit into the AAO?
It would be easier with a simple replacement drive, but I'm not a stranger to simple modding either
