What do people think of your One?

We have all probably heard the story of the woman where the Sony owners laughed at her for having a crashing AAO....
But people only say good things about mine..
What do people say about yours, and what OS you got?
(I'm at uni by the way, incase ur wondering about all the stuff im about to write)

Well I use it a lot in elctures, and people are often looking over my shoulder, or fromt eh sides at it, and are sortof amazed its so small. When I had OS X on it, they were even more amazed, and were liek is thay a macbook. So I had to explain I just hacked it on..
And now they're just as amazed because I have CAD on it, and it runs great. And they all have desktop type replacement laptops (15 inch types) and all thought that it would barely run on theirs..

Sell your one and buy White... That's what I'm doing - mod and sell... ATM I'm also thinking about getting white model - looks nice TBH...

 

i traded up models and go the white because that's all that was available...and i'm very glad. white is much nicer than the blue, doesn't look so "last year"...haha.

guys usually say, man, i like the blue color, or usuall thing, WTF is that DUDE, that thing is a little beast 160gb and that small?? Theyre pretty amazaed with the build quality and looks.

Girls say, Oh how cute!!! Its sooo tiny!!!

One of my lecturers at uni called it "very smart". We had a 5 minute chat about how much she wanted one. Then she fired up Audacity one her Mac to record the lecture. Awesome!

After carefully looking at the blue and the white models, I promptly chose the black one. Let's face it folks, EVERYTHING looks cooler in black.
But seriously, everyone I know and have talked to loves them.

Well usually they're like "Wow, it's so small, you can put it in your pocket" followed by a laugh.
And when I tell them how fast it is, they're amazed!

Everyone that has seen it in action wants one. I have known of one person that after seeing my AAO in action went out and got himself one. We both have to use our computers in multiple settings. My is the black model.

 

Men say things like, what is that?, sweet!, cool, how much was it? what are the specs on that little baby, or I didn't know they made those, and none of the men that commented on it so far have never heard of a netbook...go figure... ,.
Women usually say, OMG, that is so cute, I love it, I want one!

The ONLY time such a comment from the girls is good!

 

I also wanted the white One initially but I'm starting to like the blue version more and more. It looks more "unique", the White version looks like a cheap macbook clone...

As for what people generally think - they're amazed that it's so small yet runs standard applications like OpenOffice, Firefox, Live Mail etc. and even plays back movies and runs older 3D games.

 

Girls really like the blue version.... it's small and sleek. Black is too blah, and white is a MAC wanabe. Blue is the Aspire One's signature color.

Start up with Mandriva 2009 Gnome with 3d desktop compiz fusion effects... and it's sure to get you "ooohhhhs" and "ahhhhhs" :lol:
