    Hey,

I have an AAO 110 and currently have nLited XP Pro on the 8GB SSD.
I want to upgrade the SSD to a 1.8" Toshiba MK3008GAL because the 8GB SSD just doesnt have enough space.

When installing XP, what format should i use, NTFS, FAT, FAT32...?
What one would give me the best performance?

    Thanks,
    Nick

I like to use fat32 because it is more retro compatable. Articles I have read say there is no difference in speed. Here is a link to some discussion on this. http://www.tomshardware.com/search.php? ... &x=16&y=10
To get XP to install as fat32 you must first format the drive in fat 32 using an old win 98 disk. Otherwise XP will only offer NTFS as the install option.

NTFS has better efficiency. You can get slightly more drive space with NTFS. NTFS is gernerally a better Files System to use on harddrives.
