what I miss...

    ... is a Power On button accessible w/o opening the lid.
    I connected it to my external monitor and this will make easier starting the laptop.

    I see your point, but show me a laptop with this feature. The "rear of top deck" position is pretty much standard.

    Older IBM laptops had a power switch at the side but what's the point of having it there ?

    My old Toshiba Satellite 2805-S302 has a switch (accessible w/o opening the lid) that can start the laptop...

    when you will press the button by mistake while putting the AAO in a bag, you will regret you've asked for this feature..
