I use Linpus Linux.. advanced desktop.. many tweaks from this forum and Macles.. of course.
Bought the A1 to use as a netbook! and to learn more about Linux.
Really happy with my A1.. fast and reliable.

I use XP pro, though I really enjoyed how win7 performed and will most likely install that once it's officially RC'd.

Purchased with XP, still has it on there. I had to download the recovery DVDs because I accidentally deleted my recovery partition, but it's XP.

I use XP Professional SP3 Full on the 8gb ssd aspire one, i upgraded to 1.5gb ram, but i had to turn off autmatic updates because theres only 2gb left after all my softwares been installed. I Always use flashpoint beta 3 patch 1, its the fastest out of them all for me, the new flashfire sucks. It still freezes from time to time just not as much. Im adding a samsung HS06THB 60gb 1.8 pata drive soon, ordered it online from ebay  ill then install Vista Ultimate, i tried it with the 16gb ssd and flashfire and it run perfectly, the only thing im worried about is the webcam and if it will work.

    But yes, my operating systems;
    8GB SSD: XP SP3 Pro
    60gb HDD: Vista Ultimate

    Hi all

I've tried Linpus, ubuntu, Rons WindowsXP and I'm currently using EEEbuntu.

I found ubuntu too slow, I found SSD drive access terrible on XP, but currently enjoying the EEEbuntu interface with it's dock and it's quicker then ubuntu.

I'm really tempted to go back to Linpus, as in my experience it's quicker the then the rest.

Fedora, Ubuntu, Crunchbang, Puppy, Kuki, and Windows XP. Puppy and Kuki are currently not installed, but the iso images are sitting on the internal 120 GB HDD.

Actually running Windows Small Business Server 2003. Wasn't using my A150 much and needed a new web/mail server. Works GREAT if you believe it. Low power, quiet, built in keyboard, mouse and UPS.

I think a new What OS do you have on your Aspire One? thread hould be started. Because I think lots op people ditched their OS and switched to Win7. I tried to start a new thread myself, but I can not start any polls.

Meh, the poll doesn't account for non Win/Lin OSes. As soon as a wifi stack supporting WPA is available for Haiku-OS, it's going on mine.

    http://www.haiku-os.org/ awesome

    Mint 7.

Bought an AOA 150 with XP in January. Installed Mint 7 several weeks ago, a simple matter of downloading the .iso and burning to a disc, then installing using a USB cd drive. Took 30 minutes to install and was up and running with a fresh new OS. Runs great.

Probably run Mint for a while, might try Kubuntu 9.10 Netbook Remix.
