what to remove?

    I was just wondering if i could get a consensus on what unnecessary software exists that should be removed for performance sake? I know one mans unnecessary prog is another mans favorite app but i figured theres bound to be some that are completely useless across the board.

    Regarding XP, here's my earlier opinion about "crapware":

    I would add that the McAfee AV will slow the system down, and there are lighter less intrusive security suites available.

    Re XP system tweaks, the second page of following has some good things to try, again always depending on what functions you actually use:
