    Hi
I am a new Linux user. I have installed skype and it works very well. The icon was on in the "Connect" menu for a couple of weeks. THen it suddenly disappeared. It is still available if i right click on the desk top and look for it in a sub menu. How ever , i would like to have it back in the Connect desktop. How do i do this?
    Kind regards

edit the config by entering the line below into terminal
    Code:
     sudo mousepad /home/user/.config/xfce4/desktop/group-app.xml
take out the ( this means the line will be ignored) at the beginning and end of the line associated with skype and make sure the "app sequence " number in quotes is different to all the other " app sequence" numbers in that section. If necessary write a new line in eg below. Youll notice there are two lines associated with skype because one was already in the default config before the new update. Above all USE THE SEARCH FACILITY. This has been dealt with lots on this forum.

sudo is NOT required as the file is owned by user.

    Cheers.
