Where to buy a spare battery?

Anyone know where I can buy a replacement/spare battery for my Aspire One?

 

Nowhere as of yet. But you could always try to replace the cells inside the battery pack. But I doubt yours has died out already...

 

Over here, the Acer Service Centre can order a 6 cell battery for me in a matter of days (I'm holding out because i'm stingy). The price isn't too bad either - about 90 usd after conversion.

I'd try calling up your respective acer service centre and asking them directly.

 

3 cells are always on ebay, and I've seen one or two 6 cell white ones pop up. Maybe I'll call the acer center here and see if they can order me a 6 cell.

 

I wanted a spare battery because the 3-cell has such a relatively short life, and because like a lot of others, I don't care for the 6-cell version, price-wise or size-wise! I took the suggestion to check out ebay, and I did in fact find someone selling batteries there. But $82.83 doesn't sound like such a good deal. Maybe when people start buying the 6-cell batteries they'll want to unload their used 3-cell bats? I'm still surprised that the Acer site doesn't say anything about batteries as spare parts.

 

on the Canadian website http://www.NCIX.com you can order the battery. i've ordered mine last week but it hasn't come in yet. they say its backordered....
however, the website IS reliable and is a big store in canada (other than quebec) and service is top quality.

Website says it's available but not in stock. I went to the canadian acer online store, and they don't have it yet neither. I hate those rain checks.

I haven't had time to read through all these posts but I can help you with your battery requirement. I work for Source IT, www.sourceits.com and although I have never been to the NCIX site I can tell you that they are not an authorize acer parts distributor as we are.

Although the 6 Cells are currently on temporary back order I believe they should be back in stock by early next week. A 4800mah 3 cell? Wow how come this is the first that I have heard of this?! Do they come in white or black only?

I instanly bought a higher capacity battery so am selling the original (still new in bag)
