Where to find 6-Cell Battery?

Anyone know where to find the blue 6 cell battery? I have looked everywhere and i seem to hit a dead end everytime. Thanks.

 

why do you want blue? the current one is black, and the base is black too...

 

oh sorry doenst really matter which color. Just want a 6 cell battery.

 

Looks like 6 cells are starting to show up on ebay for $148 or so.

I bought a car charger for $20 [inc p&p] and that has now eliminated my need for a 6 cell as I spend a lot of the day in or near my ute [I'm a tradesman]

 

Same here. Every place that lists them (and there aren't that many) says "special order," "call for availability," or "out of stock - wait [arbitrary period of time]." And weirdly enough, most of those vendors are located in Canada, not the US. Plus, not a single one on eBay despite the post above.

Are these vaporware or what?

 

3 have shown up on ebay from the seller ugoogle, who appears to be the person selling most of the aspire one batteries on ebay.

 

I just got a 6-cell battery through the vendor in this thread, and not only did it cost less than most places list it ($95 + 15 shipping), it arrived incredibly quickly. So I recommend them.

 

Got mine from shoprbc.com for $108 CAN + tax (local) on Tuesday.

 

Waiting for mine to arrive. Quickly is an understatement, I expect to get it Monday (Ordered it Thursday afternoon).

 

Just ordered mine also (042)... I don't see that part number in the ONE manual, but the website indicates that it's for the ONE. I assume (hope) that as it does not say WHITE, that it's black, to match my blue ONE.

 

In Hong Kong, buying a new battery can be done by calling Acer's costumer's service center, of course the price may be higher, but this is the safest way, I think US will be similar

 

Has anyone tried any of these extended batteries from eBay? Seller likwaiw is known in the eeepc forum for selling high capacity batteries (12 hours). I wonder if they will come out with larger batteries like these for the aspire one.

I noticed the 6 cell is backordered on SourceIT for several weeks and I can't wait that long. I just bought one on CDW and its already been shipped. Can't wait!!

Its 120 bucks (little steep) but I can't wait any longer.

 

I just found this guy on Ebay:

His battery is 6600 mAh, as opposed to 5200 mAh for the Acer versions. So maybe it would last 8 hours. Has anybody tried it?

 

I ordered that battery from him yesterday. I'll report back with my results when I get the battery.

 

Please take pictures too when you get it! I am sure a lot of people will be getting this if it turns out to be a good option for the oem battery.

 

You guys can take a look at this thread discussing the 6600mAh battery, it's a 9-cell not a 6-cell.
