I did not get any notification from him whatsoever in terms of acknowledging my purchase other than my Paypal receipt. Was your purchase the same?

I am also looking at buying this battery. Could you take pictures of it when you get it? The 3-cell can't last a day at school for me so I am looking for a 6-cell. The only thing thats holding me back from buying this is because i have seen a picture of a 6600mAh battery that was supposably a 6-cell but actually a weirdly shaped 9-cell battery.

Just received my 6 cell from CDW. It's not as big as I was expecting. My Aspire One still fits in the standard sleeve. I just gave it a full charge and am showing roughly 6 -6.5 hours of battery w/ Wifi turned off and brightness low. I'll do some moee testing while running video and post the results later.

CDW had them in stock and mine arrived two days after purchase. Very happy with the purchase and the battery so far.

jaydoghall, you purchased the standard 5200mAh 6-cell, right?

Please do tests run time for both Wifi on and off.

With WiFi off I got slightly over 6 hours. I also dropped the screen brighness.

I have not tested it with WiFi on yet but will do so today and post the results.

I just received the battery I purchased from the guy on eBay mentioned above. I think it's a weirdly shaped 9-cell battery. I've got a picture below with a pencil in to show scale. It's also white, which annoys me as the photo showed a black battery and I have a blue aspire one. Oh well--I have a 48 hour road trip coming up for work, and as long as it lasts a long time I'm happy. I'll post times for it when I get home and have a chance to try it out. So far, 9 hours on the 6600mah battery from eBay.

Tasks: MS Word, Wifi ON (downloading in the background)

    System: A150 (120gb HDD, 1.5gb RAM)

Seriously?!??!?!?!! 9 hours might be worth the crazy size of that one. Have you actually run it for all 9 hours, or is that just what the tray icon tells you? 9 hours would be so awesome.

Mine lasts about 4 hours and then dies with no warning at about the 30-40% discharge point. I've contacted the seller for a replacement or refund as there's pretty clearly something wrong with it. I'm pissed as I have a long road trip and I was counting on having a large battery.

I've ran it for a few hours right now and it's still going strong. I'll have to complete the full run in order to find out whether or not it will die out at 30-40% like the other person.

What bios version do you have installed? I remember reading that one of the more recent updates fixed calibration issues with the 6 cell batteries.

Hmm. I don't think that's it. I ran a battery utility, and it shows a design capacity of 6600 but an actual capacity of about 4800, which would fit with the run time I've been getting. I think one or two of the cells are dead.
