I have recently purchased the touch screen set from deal extreme and have received it incredibly quickly and in excellent condition. I am planning on soldering the touch screen controller to CN11 and am wondering where the best location to place the controller would be? The touch screen itself has the ribbon connector at the left side of the screen and I would like to know what the best way to route the wires with the least amount of mess would be?

If anyone has any previous expertise their input would be highly appreciated. Diagrams would also be appreciated.

Thank You All for Your Time.

Believe you have HDD version so stick it to the top of HDD - there is enough room for that...

It is inconvenient to route the wires if a person where to place it on top of the harddrive as the ribbon is on the left and the CN11 connector is on the bottom of the motherboard.

Could somebody else please provide their own ideas.

    Thank You for your Time

Did you know CN11 is also "visible" on the top side of mobo?? Actually it's only one smart place to put controller and couple of people already did this - but that's your netbook...

And CN11 is where yellow marker on Intel chipset is pointing towards 4 o'clock...

    Thank You for the Information.

I have one more question if it would be possible to answer?

If CN11 is accessible from the top of the motherboard would it be possible to solder to those points from the top of the motherboard or would the wires have to be routed to the bottom?

    Thank You.
