Just got the new Aspire 11.6 Pro. I was wondering if all the Aspire one netbook batteries the same. One the Acer site it says the LC.BTP00.017 is a 6 cell replacement. When I go to other sites for a battery, it says "their" battery is a compatible with the LC.BTP00.017 but it doesn't list the actual netbook. So are they all compatible to each other?

    thanks

Hmm, how do you know that the one on the Acer site is for the 751? When I look at their site I don't see where they list the model number. I have not been able to find this model listed for any of their batteries. I finally ended up ordering a 6 cell from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Original-5.2Ah-batt ... 86006r5089 I should be getting it this week so will report back how it works.

Keep me updated. I saw this site that actually list the OEM 6 cell battery that is compatable and they wanted $85 for it.

I got it late yesterday from Hong Kong (ordered it on 7/24). So far so good. It came half charged and took about 2 1/2 hrs to fully charge. The amber light turned green when it was fully charged. I am in the process now of testing to see how much time I will get on it.

Udate: well for the first day on the job I am totally pleased with this battery. Plulled the ac at 9:15 this am and at 4pm still had 2 hrs. left (33%). It stayed mostly idle all day however I did do some browsing and played a game. Put it on ac at 4pm and it took 1 1/2 hours to full charge. Sooooooooo, I am thinking I am really going to like this on a trip.

Thanks for that update. I think I will order the computer from Costco and then buy the second battery from the guy that you listed. This information is really helpful! Now for the tough decision...which color! :D

IMO I would get the one from the store with XP for $329. Upgrade your own ram for $20, try it out for a month or so and then buy the 6 cell battery if it is working the way you want to use it. I personally would not put Vista on a Netbook.
