Hello, I want to replace my ASUS N73SV for office use and Catia V5. I already had the opportunity to run Catia on my ASUS with a GT540m. Is the Iris Intel chipset sufficient because it is more powerful than the GT540m or a dedicated card?
    Thanks,

Intel Graphics name with "Iris" has many:

Oldest: i5-4350U/Iris Graphics 5100 is about 1.5 times faster than GT540m.
Newest: i5-1350P/Iris Xe Graphics is about 3.5 times faster than GT540m.

For work usage, base on new OS (Win 11), new version of Catia v5-3DX, a laptop with dedicated graphics card (e.g. Nvidia Quadro) should be considered.

Thank you for your feedback, precisely if the latest generation of Iris are 3.5 times faster... why would this CAD software not work as well?

Potentially I will stay on the Catia V5 R19 which is about ten years old. Today there are interesting offers of HP Victus (1000€) in France i5 13th with RTX4060 but it is necessary to put so much. A gtx 1650 or vega7... would make it possible to obtain a laptop with a better finish and better screen... for example.

RTX4060/GTX1650 is for gaming, not for designing, e.g. HP ZBook is better than Victus in designing.

If working time is more than gaming time, HP Zbook is better.

Choosing in RTX4060/GTX1650 or RTX A3000/RTX A500 should be consider user's operation habit, a proficient designer want the computer is faster than his/her operation, a leisurely designer doesn't care about it (e.g. rest after working/rest during working).

    yeah,
For running Catia V5 and for professional use, it's recommended to go with a laptop that has a dedicated graphics card like the GT540m. While Intel Iris has improved, dedicated GPUs perform better for demanding 3D modeling tasks. It's a better choice for smooth and efficient performance in this scenario.
