    Hi

Im thinking about replacing the forsaken SSD in my Aspire One 110. The easiest thing of course would be to put a regular 1,8" PATA HD into the laptop. But I cant really get used to the thought replacing electronic with mechanic parts...

So the options are as far as I know:
a PATA to CF interface with a CF card (e.g. 16GB* Kingston CF Ultimate 266X) Read 45MB/s Write 40MB/s (there's actually a 666x CF from Pretec but that one is not available yet)
soldering a SATA port on the board, connecting it with a SATA flash drive (e.g. OCZ Throttle eSATA Flash Drive) Read 90MB/s Write 30MB/s
soldering a miniPCI-E slot on to the board, connecting it with a flash drive (e.g. OCZ miniPCI-Express SSD SATA) Read 110MB/s Write 51MB/s

what do you guys think about these options?

    regards
