white AAO with white bezel

Anyone currently own or know where there are pictures of the white AAO fitted with the white bezel? I'd like to see what it looks like and decide whether or not I like the black.

nobody seen this or interested in seeing this??? I may just have to break down and order it and see what comes in the mail!

 

I am pretty sure there is no white bezelled AAO. All the AAO netbooks come with a black bezel as far as I know.

 

right.. with the exception of the pink one. it has a white bezel. i was just wondering if someone has ordered the white bezel and fitted it to the white AAO. just curious on what it'd look like.

Why Dont You Buy A Black Bezel And Just Keep On Coating In White And Eventully You Might End Up With It Being White

 

I emailed the sellers of the "white" bezel and asked them to check if it was actually white or not and they said it was. I'd be interested in seeing it installed though. My gfriend changed her mind about me installing it in hers.

 

Oh wow! If it's really white, I should order it. White Bezel is on my ToDo List.

 

Any one can verify if its really white ???

yeah i did few days ago but no reply

 

white owner here as well, and also considering this mod. I think my current imparatives go in this order though:

Solder USB BT 2.0 + EDR dongle (already have)
Solder Artec ATSC tuner, mod antenna array into LCD lid (it's on the way)
Upgrade socketed RAM from 512MB stick to 1GB stick (on the way)
Purchase 9 Cell white battery (haven't even really started looking, yet)
Add 4 port USB 2.0 hub and solder into chassis
Upgrade to 500GB drive, keep 160 for system images and portable storage
Decide on external single USB 2.0 port powered DVD DL burner, and fabricate an addition to the current lid that houses the new optical drive
Add USB GPS receiver and solder into chassis

 

Well i am debating ....
I wanted a Class 3 BT (Saves more power) but they are like non existent LOL
So i might for the BT 2.0.

Also I might want to get the New Acer 10"
But i really like my 8.9" My first Netbook with Mods LOL

 

Has anyone got the bezel and attached it yet? I'm interrested about how it looks : )

 

Conventional wisdom says that the perceived display quality of a backlit TFT LCD is better with a black bezel. There are comparatively few laptops/netbooks/monitors/TVs around with white bezels, probably for the reason given above.

The Pink Aspire One has a white bezel, but IMHO this model is really a gimmick, just a fashion accessory for the likes of Paris Hilton.

 

I just wish the damn things weren't so freakin' glossy. (White or black)

 

well as i managed to break one of the clips on my outer top casing i thought i would order both the outer lcd casing and the inner bezel from source IT, but with priority international shipping at $72.38 and international economy at $85.73 i think i'll pass :roll: i mean i fly rc planes and heli's and i can get a 36"x12"x12" box weighing 3lbs shipped here to the uk for $37 yet they want more than twice that for these two netbook plastics, well we'll have to wait for someone else to see if it is indeed the white lcd bezel!

The seller confirmed it is - so if you had it delivered and it was actually black they would have no choice but to give you a refund. Personally, I thihk they're probably telling the truth but my girlfriend has changed her mind about wanting one on her white AAO. Although she might change her mind if she sees pics of it installed one someone elses!
