I bought mine at Costco and it worked fine right out of the box. I never had a freeze before or after I upgraded the ram. I did not update any Bios. I have since purchased the Dell 11z and gave my Acer 751 to my 20 yrs old granddaughter and she uses it all the time and has no problems.

    Mine has never frozen.

I have done all the updates including BIOS and drivers.

I upgraded to 2gb Crucial DDR2 800 ram right after I bought it and just picked up a 9 cell battery from ebay for $50.

I did a clean install of Windows 7 the day it came out.

I haven't had any problems ever.

I check my build after reading the thread of people having problems and my board is a 3EH so that might be why. Supposedly that board is one that doesn't have any problems.

I have recommended this machine to a lot of people.

Greetings fellow forum members. I have a AO751h-1948, it never froze on me. I did do a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. I still have the original 1GB memory module, have not upgraded memory yet. I use a flashdrive for ReadyBoost. System ability is impressive, and the limitations are very reasonable. It is an excellent small computer. I will reccomend it to anyone.
