Why won't aftermarket battery makers do a 6-cell?

    I'm jealous of Eee users. They have aftermarket batteries available to them for a long time, and even shortly after the machine was released, they had access to aftermarket batteries.

    PLEASE, if there are any battery manufacturers out there reading this, PLEASE TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS MARKET!!!!!

    My friend just showed me his battery for his ASUS EEE
    10400mAh Replacement Lithium Battery Pack for 50$ !!!! He gets around 10 hours !!!

    Never mind the aftermarket batteries - I can't even find somewhere to buy the 6-cell OEM battery in the UK! Acer - get it sorted!!

    Dude, don't lie. The EEE only gets around 5 - 6 hours with the 10400 mAh battery. The EEE uses a 7.1V (approx) battery. That battery is equal to the AspireOne's six cell.

    Lying or not, they have it and we don't.

    We have to shell out over $100USD for a 6-cell.

    There is a 3 cell 4800mah battery that is $65US + $15 shipping. Interesting option, waiting for pictures to see if it juts out the back like the 6 cell.
