I'm seriously thinking of switching to Windows because Linux is wrecking my head. Everything I try to install comes up with some error message.

With .rpm files I type in rpm -i filename and get
warning: user mockbuild does not exist - using root
warning: group mockbuild does not exist - using root
warning: user mockbuild does not exist - using root
warning: group mockbuild does not exist - using root

    I have mock installed!

There are many, many other installation issues I have - (with SNES Flash Player etc) I've been following the instructions to the letter but I always hit a brick wall.

    I'm using Fedora 11 on A150.

There is no general way to install things in Linux, it all depends on the distribution.
