    Hi to everyone!
I've just installed wicd, following the useful instructions that are available here.
Eveything works fine, the app starts correctly, finds all the wi-fi lans around, but if I try to connect to my personal one (I use WPA), it gives me a strange error message:
    Code:
This network requires encryption to be enabled
It all seems so strange even because I can connect without any problem with the default tool Linpus offers me.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,

    Burroughs.

The solution to this problem was quite simple: as I use WPA and a static IP configuration on both the router and netbook, I had to edit my network profile on the wicd main interface by clicking on the right arrow close to the network name.
