    Heya,

What i want to do is browse the net from my Nintendo DS Lite.

I can do this if i setup a wireless connection.

On my aspire one i have installed vista, and the wifi drivers seem to be fine. But when i goto make a new wireless ad-hoc network, it doesnt even try to make one! It flashes the loading screen real quick then says that it cannot create a new network. Doesnt give any reason why.

Perhaps my drivers suck? Can someone please link the proper drivers? Also any other ideas? Thanks!

    Hi luckjay

I am not clear on what you are asking, so the following may miss your point.
I have a Nintendo Wii and that can connect via wireless to Nintendo's servers and allow access to their system via its own driver. This allows suitable games to be played with others on the internet and access other things like Wii shop, weather and news. It does not allow full internet browsing. For that you have to buy an "internet browser" (opera) from Nintendo. One off cost on the Wii £3.50. On the Wii you just connect wireless to your router through its settings in a similar way you connect the Aspire i.e. By entering your WEP or WPA code.

My understanding is that the DS Lite also has the same functionality but you still need to buy another package to access full browsing. I assume that with inter user play you should be able to set this up as per the Wii.

I have seen references to Router compatibility with regards the Wii so there may be a similar problem with the DS.

I have my Aspire one on a wireless connection and have set up the Wii to the same router. I doubt if there are any third party drivers for Nintendo game consoles.

    Hi again

    Clarification,
Your first post, mainly because of its heading, gives the impression you want to connect to the internet via the DS Lite. At least you have now said that you have the DS Lite internet package. Can you conect via the package?

Your second post now says the problem is on the Aspire with Vista, is this correct and if so where does the DS Lite come into it?
What configuration of Aspire do you have? i.e. SSD or hard disk, originally with Linpus or XP, how did Vista get on to it? With some knowledge of this people may be more able to help you.
