I've read plenty of posts by XP users that network performance is improved by turning off any power saving features of the Atheros wifi card.

I'd like to try this out on my AAO 150 Linpus machine but I can't find anywhere (in the GUI) to set this.

Any pointers? The reason I ask is that I've had some unexplained disappearances of wifi from time to time, so I'd like to experiment.

Thanks in advance for any help!

AFAIK there is no such powersavingoptions in the Ath5K or MadWifi drivers used under Linux. Open a terminal and check what the driver supports with the iwpriv and iwconfig commands.
