    Hello everyone ...

first off: as a Windows User i have absolutely no experience with Linux whatsoever, but was asked by a friend to help her set up a connection. We have the exact same problem as the user who opened this Thread. AA1 with Linpus lite 1.0.15E. Can't find any W-Lan, or even search for connections, that button is grey and non-clickable. I brought my Compaq Mini running WinXP, and it connected immediately without any problems.

"have you ticked the box in the router set up menu to enable wireless conections"
I'd really like to try that, but .. how to access that 'router set up menu'? I guess there must be a command for it using the Alt+F2 Command line ...

Please reply if you can help, I don't have too much time on my hands today, but I really want to set this up ..

    Thanks!

PS: I also wanted to try the 'delete .gconfig/system/networking' folder thing, but there is no such folder, not even hidden. Only 2 existing: Music and Pictures .. Help on that would also be appreciated!

maybe it's not broadcasting the SSID

boot up a backtrack USB drive and run airmon-ng, see if you can find hidden routers
