I have followed the guide to the following point:

    1. Download the program Partition Magic and the Windows 7 build 7000 beta ISO, from your favorite *cough* torrent *cough* site.

    2. Install Partition Magic and create a new partition from 10000MB to as big as your HD can handle, I recommend 15GB. It'll restart then shrink your main partition, and create the new one, then restart again into XP, then XP will say new hardware need to restart, so restart for the 3rd time so far.

    3. Extract the contents of the Windows 7 ISO by mounting it in a disk mounting program like Alcohol 52% or Daemon Tools then copying them to the new partition. I think some compression programs like 7Zip or WinRAR can just extract a ISO too.

My question is what do you mean by "copying them to the new partition"? I mount the iso (Win7) image with Daemon Tools and the Win 7 installation program begins immedietely (I do not get an option to copy anything) - so I'm concerned with starting the install program as I might do something to eliminate XP(??).

Or when I start the Win 7 installation will it give me an option to install on another partition / drive (I have added a D: drive with 25GB with Partition Magic already)

    Thanks for the help!

It will give you the option to pick the partition that you want to install it in. Just make sure that you choose the new partition, and you should be fine. Personally, have never, and will never, use Daemon tools to install an OS, so I am not exactly sure how it will go, but I wish you the best of luck. (Had a bad exp with DT, so I am biased).

The option I am referring to is after you choose "Install Windows", it pops up with "Upgrade (or something like that)" and "Custom", or something like that. Do not choose the upgrade option, and you will be fine. Good luck!
